Instructions for Replacement:
Drain the oil.
Remove the old oil filter housing.
Disconnect the plastic guide of the filter element.
Install the plastic guide of the filter element to a new aluminum case.
Install the new filter element.
Install new aluminum oil filter housing on the engine (torque 18 foot pounds).
Tighten the drain plug on the oil filter housing (torque 22 foot pounds).
Fill with new oil.
That’s it! No more problems with plastic housing, cracks, oil leaks and other problems.
