The membrane geometry control valve intake manifold BMW M42 M43.

The membrane vacuum regulator installed on 11611734472 BMW engines M42 and M43 in bodies of E36 and E34. The valve controls the damper, changing the geometry of the intake – at low engine speeds the intake manifold should be long and short on high to provide the boost effect. Over time, the membrane breaks and the valve stops functioning – the motor loses traction at low revs, increasing consumption.
